Karla + Colby’s La Valencia Wedding Photos

I am super thrilled to share Karla and Colby’s La Valencia wedding photos! One of the highlights? Their big day gave me a chance to shoot in one of my favorite venues! Being surrounded by so much love was a truly special feeling. So, allow me just to set the scene and let the photos I documented as their La Valencia wedding photographer unfold the rest of the story.

The Venue 

La Jolla is an extraordinarily scenic area, so Karla and Colby’s big day was certainly dreamy and surreal. The La Valencia Hotel is exceptional – the setting beautifully framed their love. The couple decided to have an outdoor ceremony with a breathtaking views of La Jolla Cove as their backdrop. I was also happy that the weather played in their favor, they exchanged their vows on a clear May day.

This La Valencia wedding included stunning floral arrangements by Priscilla Arce – a magnificent mix of dried and fresh flowers to convey that wild yet romantic boho vibe. And, of course, with the hotel’s unique dusty pink exterior with Spanish architecture, it worked like a charm! The venue is perfection. So memorable, and this couple’s wedding was no exception.

Stunning Sunset Portraits 

Since the hotel is just 3 minutes away from the beach, we couldn’t miss out on an opportunity for spectacular sunset portraits. Plus, the hotel helped us make this happen by taking us in a golf cart. So, we snuck out and enjoyed every second of the golden hour. Truely, all of Karla and Colby’s La Valencia wedding photos are majestic, but these certainly stand out! 

In their portraits, there is a dreamy blend of colors of nature, which they match with their attire. And their love energy can be felt in the photographs – they are glowing! Shooting these special moments made me realize how grateful I am they chose me as their La Valencia photographer. 

Lively Reception 

Karla and Colby kept the boho vibe in the reception as well. The decor was magical and suited the surroundings. Moreover, they included a bunch of cute details that made their celebration unique. The amazing neon sign and the playful props were perfect elements for unforgettable memories. 

The fact that Karla and Colby trusted me with the most special day of their lives in such a gorgeous venue filled me with immense joy. Working on their La Valencia wedding photos was bliss.
